After the Boys over Flowers music drama letdown what do Korea’s favorite flower boys have in store for us?
Yun Ji-hoo (Kim Hyun-joong)and Song Woo-bin (Kim Joon), have united once again to film the music video for Kim Joon’s upcoming solo song titled “Joon, Be Ok!” The song will be featured on T-Max’s new album.
Kim Hyun-joong showed up despite his demanding schedule with SS501 to support his friend and former Boys over Flowers co-star. Kim Hyun-joong said, “Hope that my appearance will bring him some needed strength.” Kim Hyun-joong also reportedly gave the T-Max newcomer some career advice.
The F4 members, who last appeared together appeared together at Lee Min-ho’s birthday party/fan meeting, have reportedly developed a great friendship and their similar backgrounds in the entertainment industry (both being in idol groups) may allow them to work together on future projects.
SS501 has signed up with Warner music for their Chinese market advance.
On 29th June, there was a press conference held by Warner Music Taiwan that SS501 will release their 1st Solo album which will include songs like ‘Deja Vu’, ‘The song sang for you’, ‘You’re my heaven’ etc.
What is special about this is that just the reservation sales for the album has already reach the volume of that of a Golden Disk.
After their fanmeeting on 27th June, SS501 also held a photo event where the proceeds 100K KRW was donated to a social association in Taiwan. SS501 has voiced that they are happy to be able to meet their Taiwanese fans and also do something for a good cause through this event.
Meanwhile, the boys will have their 1st concert performance off their 1st Asian tour on 1st and 2nd August in Seoul.
The online album stats site Hanteo Chart reported that Super Junior topped album sales in the first half of this year. Released on March 13, Super Junior’s third album with the title song “Sorry Sorry” sold nearly 110 thousand copies in the first six months of 2009.
Following in second place is Girls’ Generation. The girls’ mini album containing “Gee” was rolled out in early January, selling over 72 thousand copies. Girls’ Generation was undoubtedly the hottest group in the earlier part of the year and hopes to ride the momentum into the second half with their new release “Genie (a.k.a. Tell Me Your Wish).”
Legendary Seo Tae-ji took third place with his second single “Atomos Part Secret” from his eighth album. If his first eighth album single, “Atomos Part Moai” released in late July last year is included, his two singles related to “Seotaji 8th Atomos” have recorded more than 200 thousand copies in album sales.
Dong Bang Shin Ki will release a new storybook ’Please Be Mine’ on 15th July in Korea and Japan.
The storybook will talk about Dong Bang Shin Ki’s journey to Saipan last January included in their DVD series ‘All About 東方神起 Season3′. Fans can witness the beauty scenaries in Saipan and also some of the Dong Bang Shin Ki in the filming of ‘All About 東方神起 Season3′ in the book.
It will show all the details like contents to the members’ bag during the journey, their hotel room etc in their 7 days 6 nights tour to Saipan. Plus the are also interview content to the members after they returned to Korea after the trip.
Meanwhile, Dong Bang Shin Ki will be having their concert ‘Dong Bang Shin Ki THE 3rd ASIA TOUR CONCERT-MIROTIC in BANGKOK’ on 27th and 28th June.
On the 23rd June, according to Korean Entertanment News, Boyband SS501 is once again getting themselves involved in boyband activities.SS501 will be releasing abrand new album in the second half of the year. Recently, they have also released a Solo for every member in their album "S501 Collection", including records of Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Hyung Jun, Kim Kyu Jong, Heo Young Saeng and Park Jung Min's individual concert song as a bonus track. In May, SS501 was in Las Vegas, America fo a photoshoot for their pictorial. They will also behaving a bonus for this pictorial. All the members have finished their dram and MV shooting and will be meeting fans very soon. Additionally, in August, SS501 plans to launch their Asia World Tour as well as the launching of their second album.
